I ordered this for my three year old daughter because she had been asking for a cuckoo clock. I was having trouble finding one that didn't break the bank but was also sturdy enough to endure an accidental fall or two. After getting the clock I was surprised at just how sturdy it was because just like I had anticipated my daughter got excited and dropped it. The time keeps well and the bird is in working order. It needs 3 D batteries and 1 AA battery which are not included. If you are looking for a cuckoo clock that has a "wood look" to it, this would not be a good buy. You can tell it is plastic, even from a distance and there is a light sensor in the front above where the bird comes out that is very visible. The noise the bird makes is a little startling at first, regardless of the name "cluckcoo clock" I wrongfully assumed it would make the original cuckoo noise, however it does cluck like a chicken for about two seconds every hour.There is a button located on the side to make the...Read more

This was a birthday gift for my grand daughter, and she loved it. A very nice product.

Love This Clock !!! Fun clock to have...Friends get a kick out of it...Only coo coo's when the lights are on. Exceptional Quality.
