We love this clock. The light sensor isn't too sensitive so that even during afternoon nap (with the blinds closed) there isn't any mooing. And if you wondered, as I did prior to purchase, it only moos once on the hour. In other words, there aren't 12 moos at noon.

I ordered this for my cow-loving 3 year old daughter and overall she loves it though we did have a phase of fear as well. It's cute and sturdy but it requires 3 'D' batteries and 1 'AA' battery and sadly doesn't keep time well but almost a year later it is still ticking. I do like that it has a light sensor that silences clock at night. A few months into owning the clock my daughter told us she was scared of it but when we tried to move it to another room she wouldn't let us. My 2 year old son likes it as well as long as it's high on the wall and not directly in front of his when the cow does come out (or else he'll freak and cry). Overall I'm happy with the purchase and the discounted price but I won't by buying one of the other versions for my son had I originally planned.
