I'm very pleased with this clock! It's made of plastic, which keeps it light weight, but looks like a more expensive piece. It's size is perfect in our sitting room with vaulted ceilings. We have a modern meets classic look in our house, and it pairs beautifully with the of the new brown leather sofa and the antique end tables. It really helped pull our room together. It also keeps time very well (much better than the stove/microwave!) It looks so good, though, I don't know if I would mind if it didn't.

This clock looks really nice in my home. I have no problem with the fact that it is resin, but realize that it looks like it is made of a more expensive material. the resin makes it light to hang. So far it has kept good time. This was by far the best buy for your money that I found while looking for a large wall clock for my family room.

If you expect this clock to have the dark walnut/mahogany toned color in the picture, you'll be wrong. It is a much lighter, more caramel color with blonde tones, not red tones. Yes, it's plastic (note the "resin" in the description), but the picture on Amazon looks a lot nicer and more wood-like than the actual clock does; and I've seen better plastics in person that look more like wood. Maybe this one would look more like wood if it were actually the color shown. Fortunately, I have a 24 foot living room, and from across the room it's not *too* bad. I'm going to get a different clock for the living room and move this one to the play room or sunroom.
