I bought this clock for our home office. It's thicker than I realized (about 4"), but it's an attractive, inexpensive and lightweight clock. The only real problem is that it's a bit hard to read, because the face, numbers and hands are all a silver gray color. There is clear plastic behind the numbers, so if you have a dark wall color, they won't show up. Our walls are a light gray/blue, so they show up ok, but it's hard to distinguish the hands from the numbers because they're the same color. The picture shown here on Amazon is illuminated with a flash that makes them stand out more, but in everyday lighting situations, the hands don't stand out as well. I sit directly in front of the clock, which is mounted above the French doors, so it's easier for me to read than it is for my husband, who has to look at it from an angle.
