This review is from: Fruity Key Lime (Green) Non-Ticking Silent Wall Clock
Don't be fooled by the name of this clock - the hands and numbers are NOT designed to glow in the dark. The luminous is meant to describe the green background color. A problem with language I believe, as clock is made overseas. If all you want is a lime green wall clock, then this is for you. If you want luminescence, I suggest you check out the luminescent Seiko for sale here on Amazon. That's what we ended up with after we returned this one.

This review is from: Fruity Key Lime (Green) Non-Ticking Silent Wall Clock
Nice looking, fun clock. It was completely quiet for about 2 months and then started making a very fast ticking sound (though running properly), which was even more annoying than a normal ticking. It didn't do it when I laid it down flat on a surface. I took the battery out, left it flat for a few hours, and put a new battery in, and it quit making the sound. So far it has stayed silent with the new battery. This seems to indicate that it's not reliably silent, though, so keep that in mind. Another important factor is that this is in an RV, so though it hasn't been shaken, it has jostled around a little, certainly more than it would on, say, the kitchen wall.

I was excited to get this clock because of the claim that it was non-ticking. Indeed it was non-ticking, but the clock's motor makes a very loud humming noise...the ticking would have been preferable!
