Ours stopped exactly two hours short. After watching the clock for two hours I could not stand it anymore, and selected the central time zone again. Comment: This thing looks great. Add the benifit that you never have to set it and I believe that this is the perfect clock. I took it out of the box, put in the battery and hit the central time button and within 5 minutes the clock had set itself and was running flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Comment: I bought this clock after reading all the reviews; the poor reviews related to the clock not changing for daylight savings time was not a deal breaker for me as I own one other atomic clock and have a similar one at work that sometimes doesn't change for daylight savings time. After receiving the clock, I was delighted at the quality and workmanship of the clock as I inserted a battery (runs on one AA battery for a year) and watched the clock adjust itself (how cool is that?). The clock didn't find the right time until sometime in the night but was an hour off the next morning. I found that you needed to push the right time zone button for a full second before the clock recognized that zone. After that, the clock is keeping time perfectly. If the clock doesn't change for daylight savings time, no problem, I will make a manual change.

After 4 months of owning this clock, I would downgrade to 4 stars due to the second hand not working. Otherwise, the clock keeps perfect time and did adjust itself forward with daylight savings time.

Comment: This is the third atomic clock I've owned, one is a La Crosse and the other is a Skyscan. They all use the same works module. The La Crosse correctly reset itself for the new time zone change and the Skyscan didn't, but with a little effort, it was correct also. From reading other reviews, it looks like people in the Eastern time zone, like me, are the ones with the most trouble with the clocks resetting themselves. After some research, I found the method to reset these clocks and I thought I'd share. When the clock needs to reset itself:

1. Remove the battery and put it back after at least 10 seconds.
2. Using a piece of metal--I use the head of a small nail--short together the two metal leads in the hole of the upper left of the works module.
3. Using something pointy, press the small gray button above and between the Eastern and Central time zone buttons.
4. Press the button for your time zone.
5. Place the clock facing Denver, CO overnight.

The following morning, the clock should show the correct time. If not, try again the next night.

Regarding this clock, the picture doesn't show it well, but there's an understated gold metal ring around the face. This is an elegant clock and it's big enough to read from across a room.

Comment: I love this clock. It does keep exact time as advertised. The only thing that I miss is a scene on the face. My previous clock had a pine branch with a couple of pine cones. It was really very pretty. However, being pretty is not half as important as being punctual!!!
