I had a wind-up wall clock in the space that's now taken by the Seiko clock. Although the wind-up clock had sentimental value, the cost of having it cleaned/repaired yearly became too high. We have contemporary/traditional furniture in our living room, with a mission style wooden rocker and wooden Timberlake tables. This clock fits in perfectly with our decor, and we feel we made a very good choice.
The ability to choose the chime, either Westminster or Whittington, is a big plus, as are the volume control and the "off at night" features. The clock sounds good, keeps perfect time, and was easy to make the change to Daylight Savings this past weekend.
I would heartily recommend this clock

I received this wall clock as an anniversary gift and it is beautiful. The chimes are clear sounding, not the least bit "tinny". The case is solid wood and the mission style fits in perfectly with our other wood furnishings. I love that it has a volume control and a shut-off feature at night. Having two different chimes to choose from is also a nice feature. This clock will be a permanent piece in our household for years to come.

When we down-sized on retirement -- and kids moving away -- we had an older striking wall clock which we treasured. Alas, brass products do not do well in a beach environment and we began looking for a smaller substitute. We found this to be an EXCELLENT replacement.
* Clock keeps perfect time without adjustments (except for daylight savings changes).
* Chime sounds (although electrically generated) have good tonal qualities and "reverbation"; very pleasant sound
* Choice of Westminster or Whittington chimes.
* Light enough to hang easily on a wall and has compact depth; solid construction.
* Designed to look like classic chiming clocks.
* Pendulum action is for appearance only and is not an integral part of the time-keeping; this adds to accuracy.
Notes: requires "C" battery (furnished) which should last over a year; chimes every 15 minutes; can be set for "night silence".
WE ARE REALLY DELIGHTED!
