Seiko Wall Pendulum Schoolhouse Clock Dark Brown Solid Oak Case

We purchased this clock to replace a cheap schoolhouse clock that died. That size and style of clock was perfect for the space and it's what we were used to, so after looking at several other styles we decided it was best to just get another schoolhouse type. Seiko is a great brand so we felt that the quality would be good. I didn't care so much about the chime since we already have a large chiming pendulum key-wind clock, but I decided that if I liked the chime on this clock better then I'd turn off the chime on the other one.

Well, I have to admit the chime on this clock is OK but not as nice as the deep, melodious chime on my larger clock so I've got this one turned off. It is nice that you have a choice of 2 different chimes, and it may be just the tone you like. But in my particular case it just couldn't compete with the much more expensive clock I already had.

just as advertised a nice clock.good quality, loud chime. back is hard to get off to adjust clock. controls are not well marked and hard to use if you have fat fingers. but all in all worth the price.

Needed a replacement for a similar designed wall clock that lost ability to keep time. The Seiko wall clock had a nicer clock face with a working pendulum. Little disappointed in the chime tone, as the chime was a different pitch and different rhythm, but it keeps good time, chiming on the hour or whatever setting it is on.
