One of the oldest clock makers in American history, Seth Thomas puts its 200-year heritage behind designing several styles of contemporary clocks that are suitable for an office or casual home setting. The 14-inch round Contract clock is encased in a simple 2-1/2-inch-deep black plastic rim and mounts on a fairly large wall space. The clock's large black Arabic numerals are set on a white dial, making them easy to spot from across the room. A quartz movement ensures that the clock keeps accurate time right down to the second with the moving red second hand. The front of the clock is covered with a shatterproof plastic lens that can take a few knocks and is ideal for a high-traffic area or kids' room.
