Product Review

Seth Thomas anniversary clock with goldtone base, hourly Westminster chime and Roman dial.

Amazon.com Review

The classic design of the Lydia anniversary clock features a circular, smoothly-stepped, metal base finished in gleaming gold tone. Two pillars support the clock, while a swiveling pendulum with four spherical knobs reflects from below. The elegant face is topped with three, ornate flourishes, and set with Roman numerals. Accented throughout in two-tone gold finish for subtle contrast, the clock’s gears are protected by a high-sided, glass dome--a signature feature of anniversary clocks. Equipped with a highly-accurate, quartz mechanism, the piece sounds the Westminster chime on the hour. An automatic night silence features keeps it from chiming between 10:00 at night and 5:00 in the morning. Powered by three AA batteries, the clock stands 9 inches high, measures 6 inches in diameter, and carries a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

I love my clock because of the Westminister chimes. I investigated several anniversary clocks, but I chose this one for the chimes and the Seth Thomas reputation. I was not disappointed. It is a beautiful clock and the chimes have an added feature. The chimes automatically cut off between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am.

I purchased this clock to replace an Anniversary clock purchased about 40 years ago. I had read comments of others saying they had trouble with the chime. But my old clock had no chime anyway. When I opened the package the clock was about 75% as tall as the old one. But for $40 nowdays, it still seemed okay.
Now the delight! The chime functions perfectly. The clock has a sweet little chime that runs on the hour during the daytime only. I think this was an excellent purchase.
