One of the oldest clock makers in American history, Seth Thomas puts its 200-year heritage behind designing several styles of contemporary clocks that are suitable for an office or casual home setting. This 13-1/2-inch round Treasurer clock is encased in a simple 1-3/4-inch-deep beveled silver-tone plastic rim and mounts on a fairly large wall space. The clock's Vienna-style dial features large black Arabic numerals on a white background along the outer rim and a silver-edged inner rim that is accented with dots. A quartz movement ensures that the clock keeps accurate time right down to the second with the moving black second hand. The front of the clock is covered with a shatterproof plastic lens that can take a few knocks and is ideal for a high-traffic area. The Treasurer clock runs on a single AA battery (not included) and is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde
